Tri-Tone Copper Phurba — Handcrafted Tibetan Vajra Kilaya
Not a decoration — a weapon of wisdom, forged to pierce the root of affliction.
The Vajra Kilaya (Sanskrit: Vajrakila) is one of the core ritual implements of Vajrayana Buddhism — also known as the “Phurba” or “Demon-Subduing Peg.” Typically cast in a three-sided pyramidal form, the apex bears three wrathful deity faces symbolising the severing of the three poisons: greed, aversion, and delusion.
The word kilaya means that which is driven into the ground — extended to signify the stabilisation of right mindfulness, the nailing down of delusion, and the piercing of ignorance. In ritual practice, it is not merely ornamental: it represents the direct penetration of affliction at its root with the force of awakened wisdom.
Together with the vajra bell and the vajra sceptre, it forms the Three Implements of Awakened Awareness — indispensable to the path of Vajrayana practice.
Pure copper is the preferred material — in the esoteric teachings, copper corresponds to Akshobhya’s indestructible bodhicitta, and naturally conducts subtle energy while stabilising and quieting the surrounding energetic field. This piece is hand-crafted in a rare three-tone copper finish — yellow, white, and red copper interwoven — each tone carrying its own elemental resonance.
⚠️ Note: Items that have undergone Sacred Awakening are non-refundable and non-exchangeable, as the ceremony is performed according to each individual's personal information.
